"AN EVENING AT THE BRINK LOUNGE" CD RELEASE
The new Caravan CD, An Evening at the Brink Lounge, is complete and will be officially released at the BRINK LOUNGE CD-release party on January 23, 2010 (see the GIG SCHEDULE page for more details). In addition to the new CD Caravan will also be celebrating Django's 100th birthday... cake will be served!!
Caravan would like to thank all of the friends and family who helped make this live recording come alive with their enthusiastic responses throughout the night. The result is an energetic recording of Caravan captured live that is a great follow up to their debut recording, Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble.

A second CD release (not yet titled) is scheduled for spring/summer 2010 and features the trio plus
Greg Smith (clarinet), Chris Wagoner (violin, accordion), and Jim Huwe (drums, percussion, tabla) on a variety of new tunes/arrangements. Some highlights include new versions of La Foule, How Would I Know, Brazil, Love For Sale, and more. The studio tracking is complete and Chris and Steve Gotcher will begin mixing the tracks this winter.
CARAVAN GSE DEBUT CD
Stock of this CD is running low (re-print scheduled for 2010), but don’t forget that you can still pick up the debut recording, Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble, online at UVULITTLE.COM, and download tracks at iTUNES. This recording features the band playing their versions of jazz standards like Honeysuckle Rose, Nuages, and Douce Ambiance, as well as originals and Latin-style tunes. UPCOMING PERFORMANCES
In addition to the January CD release party Caravan also has other fun gigs coming up. You can hear them at the Olbrich Gardens Winter Concert Series in January, Restaurant Magnus in February, and at what's become an annual gig at the Treasures Music series in March.
